Our client provides an unique Artificial Intelligence offering that needs to be further developed to expand market position. To realize this ambition, the team of 50 engineers needs to be transformed and brought to the next level.
Under your guidance the teams will be further professionalized in order to shorten time-to- market, enable innovation and improve quality, meanwhile making sure the engineers stay motivated. The company's culture can be described as: international, common sense over rules, self-organized with a strong academic mindset.
To be successful you have to be a strong hands-on leader with engineering vision and extended experience in managing and improving software development cycles. You have the ability to set goals, manage effective towards results, build and recruit high performing teams, manage new initiatives and communicate with stakeholders. The CTO is part of the management team and works closely with Product Management to align the product roadmap.
- Successfully lead the IT department through the next stage of growth from a technology and engineering point of view;
- Grow and manage the engineering team and keep them happy;
- Increase reliability of the platform;
- Increase speed of bringing R&D to market;
- Single point of responsibility for technical decisions;
- Accelerate gradual replacement of legacy with modern frameworks;
- Provide a long term vision and execute short term planning;
- Continuously stimulate innovation.
- A proven track record leading: R&D, IT Infrastructure, Engineering vision, and Software development cycles;
- Experience with scalable infrastructure and managing multiple software engineering teams;
- Architecture vision of modern software and integration technologies;
- A strong technical background in Open Source technologies, Java, PHP, Python, Unix;
- Strong vision how to improve time-to-market and push for quality and innovation;
- Able to work with multiple stakeholders (Customers, Engineers, Sales, Management);
- Pragmatic and flexible, but able to make and communicate clear decisions;
- You are a leader, super smart and social.
