Product Manager / Owner FinTech Payment Solutions

Financial solutions are at the core product of our client. Last year they processed more than 250 million euro and in the next three years we are going to double it. We are looking for someone to lead this domain as the senior product manager/product owner. You will be driving further growth and stability by steering the new developments on the financial product. Examples of new developments you might lead are: adding payment methods, improving conversion, adding PSPs, improving fraud prevention and much more. Since this is the core of product, we are looking for an experienced (senior) product manager that has proven success as a product manager, preferably with fintech experience.

The role

You will work close to our development team. Together with them you create, maintain, and improve innovative financial products. You will also have close contact with the finance colleagues, especially the payment manager, they provide you with much needed financial knowledge and support, and you will form a close team with them. You will also frequently discuss the needs for product innovations with the commercial colleagues and you will report directly to the Product Director. Being in control of the core product, you will often discuss directly with the board and CEO.
 

Tasks and responsibilities

• Lead the ideation, creation, development and launch of innovative financial/payment products;
• Be the product expert for fintech; you know everything about online payments, the balance between conversion and fraud risk, and commercial opportunities with finance solutions;
• Decide and deliver the roadmap for financial systems: you know (and measure) which development brings most value;
• Work together with finance team to have the perfect balance between all different stakes (from fraud to opportunities);
• Work with external third parties to assess partnerships opportunities;
• Know the needs of internal and external stakeholders and define solutions for them;
• Communicate and explain the roadmap and its new developments to the company;
• Manage incidents and apply countermeasures to prevent them in the future;
• Research and understand the global banking industry and financial systems;
• Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products.

You have

• 4-7 years working experience in a technical/financial company, working in software/product management;
• Great product management skills, with experience as senior product manager or product owner;
• Experience in the ecommerce industry is required;
• Experience with financial platforms is strongly desired;
• Inspiring, ambitious and robust personality with leadership potential;
• Exceptional analytical skills.
