The Vice President of Information Technology (VP of IT) is responsible for shaping and overseeing the technological backbone of the organization. This entails managing critical IT systems, exploring new technologies for potential improvements, and ensuring alignment with our client's objectives and values, as well as regulatory standards. Providing strategic leadership to the global support team, the VP of IT sets clear goals and fosters a culture of continuous improvement to bolster support capabilities, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include crafting and managing the technological infrastructure, coordinating activities among Directors and IT managers, and fostering strong relationships with vendors. Overseeing all IT directors and region-specific managers, the VP of IT ensures seamless onboarding for new locations, maintaining adherence to the company's standards. Collaboration with international operations ensures compliance with corporate initiatives and policies.
 

Duties

  • Directs the International IT division through a period of transformative change, ensuring achievement of objectives while aligning with the business's strategic and operational goals. This role entails overseeing all regional IT staff, aiding in the pursuit of region-specific targets.
  • Managing external vendor commitments, negotiating contracts, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Develops effective communication strategies and engages with key stakeholders proactively.
  • Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, standardizing global business applications, and enabling strong data analytics with enterprise-wide data management.
  • Facilitates the evaluation, deployment, and upkeep of present and future IT systems across the  global network.
  • Identifies opportunities for prudent investment in IT systems and resources, encompassing staffing, sourcing, procurement, and internal development.
  • Cultivates a strong relationship with Corporate IT leadership and resources, supporting the company's initiatives. 
     

Experience

  •  15+ years of progressively increased responsibility in a complex global IT organization; minimum of 7 years in leadership role of a global IT organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or related field required.
  • The person in this role will have successfully led major implementations, have experience managing cross-functional project teams and is able to prioritize appropriately to meet deliverable deadlines on a consistent basis.
  • Experience working effectively within a matrix organization requiring corporate/business unit teamwork.
  • Proven experience in building out IT organizations in a complex, global environment.
  • ERP systems expertise.
